Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana

The Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) is an important scheme by the Government of India to promote organic farming and help farmers reduce chemical use.In the new 2025 version, the government will give ₹31,500 per hectare over three years to farmers adopting organic farming practices.


What is PM PKVY Yojana?

PM PKVY (Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana) supports farmers who switch from chemical to natural or organic farming.The main goal is to:

  • Increase organic production

  • Help farmers sell organic produce in better markets


Total Assistance: ₹31,500 per Hectare (Over 3 Years)

Farmers will get ₹31,500 per hectare in three years through different components:

The total adds up to ₹31,500 per hectare  - with a large part transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts (DBT).


Who Can Apply for PKVY?

The scheme focuses on small and marginal farmers (landholding up to 2 hectares).To be eligible:

  • The farmer must join an organic cluster (minimum 20 farmers per cluster).

  • Land must be under organic conversion or ready for organic cultivation.

  • The farmer must have a valid Aadhaar and bank account linked for DBT.

  • The cluster must be registered through State Agriculture Department or Regional Council.


How to Apply for PKVY Yojana 2025

  1. Visit or contact your nearest:

    • Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK)

    • State Agriculture Department Office

    • Regional Council for Organic Farming

  2. Join an organic cluster  - 20 or more farmers work together.

  3. Submit documents - Aadhaar, land record, bank account proof.

  4. Attend training on composting, bio-input use, and record keeping.

  5. Receive DBT payments once your cluster is approved.


Farmers can also get help through Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), NGOs, or digital platforms that manage PKVY projects.
